Brent crude trade higher at $69.39/bbl

Crude oil prices rose Rs 131 to Rs 5,933 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.

Crude oil for February delivery traded higher by Rs 131 or 2.26 per cent at Rs 5,933 per barrel in 17,998 lots. Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 1.57 per cent higher at $64.20 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 1.48 per cent to $69.39 per barrel in New York.
